You were the soul,
I was the seeker
I surrendered
for I was a little eager.

We made memories,
we cherished
they’re now bereft
for love has perished.

You and I,
both adrenalized
swiftly you left
of love I was now petrified.

With you,
I was care-free
I complicated you
but you simplified me.

We were together,
we were complete
we separated
for we were downbeat.
